Position Overview Join our collaborative Surgical Critical Care team at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, where you'll work side-by-side with experienced Trauma Surgeons and fellow APPs to deliver exceptional ICU, Trauma, General Surgery, and Acute Care Surgery. Opportunity Highlights : Provide comprehensive care for patients in the surgical ICU under physician supervision.Performing daily critical care ICU assessments, developing and implementing clinical management plans.Manage ventilator, hemodynamics, sedation, analgesia and nutrition.Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care coordination.Perform bedside procedures including (as credentialed): central venous catheter placement, arterial line placement, chest tube insertion, bronchoscopy assistance, assistance with bedside percutaneous tracheostomy and percutaneous gastrostomy tube placement.Manage trauma and emergency surgical admissions in the ICU.Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.Documented encounters accurately in EMR.Participate in quality improvement at patient safety initiatives, including surgical ICU morbidity and mortality conferences (once every 2 months).Communicate with the patients and families regarding care plans.
