Maintenance Technician Pools As a Maintenance Technician - Pools, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall health of assigned swimming pools. This role combines hands-on technical work with customer interaction, requiring strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to quality. Your goal is to ensure every pool operates smoothly, safely, and exceeds customer expectations. Essential Job Duties Maintain assigned pools through regular service, cleaning, and water chemistry balancing. Conduct comprehensive water analysis and make proper chemical adjustments based on bather load, weather conditions, and seasonal needs. Clean pool surfaces and inspect, troubleshoot, and repair pool equipment as needed. Identify when major repairs or potential leaks are required and communicate findings clearly to your supervisor; assist the office with repair estimates. Perform all proper pool winterization procedures to prevent freezing damage. Proactively identify pool wear parts that need replacement to ensure uninterrupted operation. Provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers regarding equipment upgrades, finish options, maintenance needs, and pool safety improvements. Maintain and organize your service truck, tools, and equipment to ensure readiness at all times. Complete detailed work orders, including service notes, chemical readings and dosages, and before/after photos. Promote and follow all safety protocols and jobsite best practices. Assist with training coworkers or field assistants as needed. What We're Looking For Minimum 2 years of hands-on pool maintenance experience. Valid, active driver's license. High school diploma or GED. CMS (Certified Maintenance Specialist/Professional) designation required. Strong working knowledge of: pool water circulation systems, pool chemicals and safe chemical handling, pool equipment operation and maintenance. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Dependable, adaptable, and comfortable managing a changing daily workload. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team; capable of both following and giving direction. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. occasionally. Required Certifications (Must be held at time of hire or obtained shortly after employment) CSP Certified Service Professional. CPO Certified Pool Operator.
