This casual onsite outpatient Ortho Urgent Care APP will cover three Allina Health clinics: Woodbury, Lakeville & Coon Rapids. Provide direct clinical care to urgent care patients. Complete comprehensive patient assessments. Determine diagnoses and develop treatment plans. Order and interpret diagnostic tests in collaboration with attending physicians. Prescribe medications, treatments, therapies, and medical equipment. Provide patient education related to chronic illness management and wellness care. Refer patients to specialty care as appropriate. Consult with physicians when care needs fall outside NP/PA scope or when diagnosis or treatment plans are unclear. Promote communication within interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Serve as a clinical resource to team members. Collaborate with primary care teams for program development. Act as a liaison with external agencies as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Minimum of two years of post-training clinical Orthopedic experience required. Licensed Registered Nurse (for NP) Minnesota Board of Nursing upon hire. Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) or equivalent PA certification within specialty upon hire. Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) required upon hire BLS Tier 1 - Multisource required within 180 Days Drug Enforcement Administration registration required upon hire. Medium work requirements include lifting up to 32 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently, in accordance with the Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy Pay Range: $58.75 to $81.29 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
