This position is not remote and requires living in the Anderson, California area. The successful applicant requires current authorization to work in the United States as Sierra Pacific does not provide a Visa sponsorship.About the PositionAnalyze business requirements then design, create and maintain applications using modern RPG and development tools on the IBM i (Power Systems) platformUtilize technology to solve problems and provide software solutions with varying degrees of complexityCollaborate with users to enable them to excel at their jobTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to application functionalityDrive to completion all phases of application developmentBe diligent, resourceful, and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideasTrain and directly support users and/or technical support staffQualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related computer science program OR four years of professional experience with application developmentWorking experience with RPG IV / ILE RPG in a business environment is preferredBasic knowledge of SQL and database conceptsExperience in the wood products or other manufacturing industry is preferableIndependently motivated, detail-oriented, and able to maintain focus on long-term projectsExcellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences of various levels within the CompanyProven problem-solving and time management skillsResults-oriented; demonstrated sense of urgency and commitment to achieve efficient and accurate resultsCommitted to the highest levels of integrity and ability to maintain confidentialityWhy Join Our Team?
