Location: Avera Morningside Heights Care Center Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $26.00, based on experience. Overview As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will be essential in delivering personal care and services to residents in our skilled nursing facility, addressing their physical, social, and spiritual needs to help them achieve the highest level of independence. Responsibilities Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Perform routine and non-routine tasks as directed by nursing staff, including patient transfers, feeding assistance, and maintaining a clean environment. Measure and document vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight accurately. Support specific medical care activities as per established policies, aiding residents in therapeutic exercises and specimen collection. Keep the unit stocked and ensure a safe, clean work environment. Provide emotional, educational, and spiritual support to families. Uphold resident rights, ensuring confidentiality and reporting any allegations of abuse. Comply with safety policies and procedures, including emergency plans and infection control measures. Essential Qualifications To thrive in this role, you should be able to meet the job's requirements effectively, which include clear communication and the ability to differentiate sounds and speech. Required Education and Certification: Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification must be obtained within 120 days of hire. Preferred Experience: High School Diploma or GED.
