Expected salary range of $135,000 to $150,000, which varies based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401(k). Primary Purpose of Position The Senior Engineer will provide advanced technical and engineering problem-solving support for nuclear plant operations, serving as a valuable resource and expert for engineers. You will be responsible for making technical decisions and will be expected to demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant industry codes and regulations. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Deliver specialized technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses and programs. Provide consultation and support as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system issues. Lead engineering and technical accountability related to programs impacting site operations. Execute engineering tasks as directed by supervisors, applying sound engineering principles. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, applying standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and regulations. Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support various technical projects and programs. Propose innovative equipment, concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, streamline construction processes, reduce costs, and comply with regulatory changes. Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by management, which may include emergency response, departmental coverage, and support for outages outside your primary responsibilities. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with at least 7 years of nuclear experience or related engineering expertise. Meet minimum access standards as required, including satisfactory medical examinations and testing pertinent to job responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications Over 6 years of experience in Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA), including model development and risk-informed applications.
