Assist in the collection of specimens and prepare samples for testing whenever necessary. Thoroughly document all procedures, mentor new staff or students, and help maintain the standards of quality within the lab. Uphold a safe and clean workspace while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation mandates. Education A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree in preparation for ASCP/AMT certification. Certifications Possessing ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) is essential, to be obtained within the first year of employment.
