Payroll Manager Multi-State Payroll Leadership Opportunity On-site: Ontario, CA Compensation: $45 to $52 per hour We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and elevate our enterprise multi-state payroll function. This role leads end-to-end payroll operations, ensures compliance and accuracy, and drives process excellence across a growing organization. What Youll Do Lead and oversee accurate, timely processing of multi-state payroll, including salary, equity, bonuses, benefits, and taxes Drive system enhancements and lead implementations of new payroll platforms or upgrades Ensure all payroll regulatory filings are compliant and submitted within statutory deadlines Stay current on payroll regulations, benefits changes, and labor laws across multiple jurisdictions Support globalization initiatives, including compliant handling of tax-equalized employees and reportable benefits Build and maintain strong internal controls, compliance mechanisms, and standardized processes Partner cross-functionally to streamline procedures and deliver best-in-class payroll services Work closely with external auditors on 401(k), workers compensation, and financial statement audits Oversee payroll changes including new hires, terminations, and compensation updates Prepare management reports and payroll analytics to support decision-making What Were Looking For Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role Extensive knowledge of payroll processes, internal controls, and payroll tax compliance Strong understanding of multi-state payroll laws and regulations Expertise in ADP Workforce Now (required) Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Proficient with payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, HR, or related field preferred Minimum 5 years of payroll management experience Experience with payroll system implementations or major upgrades Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish Benefit offerings: include medical, dental, vision, additional voluntary benefits, 401K plan.
