Primary duties included the management of the Acute Admissions. Participates in the development and implements competency programs and policies in assigned units. Maintain sufficient knowledge of trends in psychiatric treatment to advise nurse managers and staff nurses In problem solving patient care issues. How does it get done? Incumbent will ensure that all EDA's assigned unit, are current according to SPO policy of procedures. Oversees all hearing and personnel action for the acute admissions unit. Reviews and participates in disciplinary actions Involving staff in the extended care units and care unit. Who are the customers? Patients/ Residents/ Clients Ideal Candidate Ideal candidate would have: -Experience with disciplinary actions; -Experience implementing policies procedures and competency; -Experience with being compliant with state, Federal and JCAHO Standards; -Experience Must be licensed in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act Section 61-3-2 through 61-3-31 NMSA 1978 and 16.12.1 through 16.12.20 NMAC, as applicable. Minimum Qualification Must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico, or eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico requirements, or eligibility for a temporary license issued for employment at a specific institution in New Mexico and five (5) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.
