Job Description

Marketing Intern MOCSA is seeking a dynamic, self-starter to assist with marketing, graphics, and communications efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing and design in a community-based nonprofit organization. Key Responsibilities: Content Creation: Write blog posts, impact stories, videos, newsletter, and email campaigns to engage donors and supporters. Graphic Design & Digital Support: Design marketing collateral (flyers, social graphics, ads, presentation materials, etc.) Social Media Support: Create and monitor posts across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn). Event Promotion: Support the planning, promotion, and execution of fundraising events and community initiatives. Media Relations Support: Help prepare press releases and media kits. Research and Reporting: Conduct research on market trends and assist in preparing reports on marketing metrics and campaign outcomes Education/Knowledge/Skills: Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. Strong writing and verbal communications skills. Basic understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management. Strong creativity and graphic design experience including working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva. Self-motivated, good organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and meet deadlines. Creative thinker with an eye for design and attention to detail. Enthusiasm for the mission of MOCSA and the individuals and communities we serve. Learning Opportunities: Gain hands-on experience in strategic marketing and communications within a non-profit context. Develop skills in content creation, brand management, and digital marketing. Participate in meaningful work that makes a direct impact on the community. Work Hours & Location: 10-15 hours/week, hybrid work, flexible hours. Minimum 3 6-month commitment. Benefits & Compensation: This is an unpaid internship, but students may be eligible for academic credit, subject to approval by the college or university.
