Description Attention to Detail Oversee Public Transportation Department Processes public transportation report of expenses on a monthly basis and report to the State of Nebraska, Department of Public Transportation. Responsible for department fiscal operations, including accounting, planning budgets, authorizing expenditures, establishing rates for services and coordinating financial reporting. Keeps appropriate records for Public Transportation Dependability Regular and reliable attendance. Back-up driver for Public Transportation. Ensures preventative maintenance of Public Transportation vehicles. Adaptability/Flexibility Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful conditions. Cooperation: Coordinate work with Public Transportation drivers. Analytical Thinking: Establish objectives and evaluative or operational criteria for the Public Transportation Department. Direct or conduct recruitment, hiring and training of personnel. Prepare activity reports to inform management of the status and implementation of plans of programs, services and quality initiatives. Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures for the Public Transportation department. Consult with medical, business and community groups to discuss service problems, respond to community needs, enhance public relations, coordinate activities and plans to promote Tri Valley Health System. Budget/Finance Oversee the purchases of capital expenditures/required paperwork/compliance to policy. Communication Skills Demonstrates ability to express self in all areas of communication (verbal and nonverbal). Leadership Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of Public Transportation personnel. Establish work schedules and assignments for staff, according to workload. Compliance Promotes and adheres to the provisions of the compliance program. Communicates the mission, ethics and goals of the facility. RequirementsEducation and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent. Previous transporter and supervisor experience required. Regulatory Requirements: Must have a valid Driver's License in the State of Nebraska with less than three moving violations & no alcohol or drug-related violations. Must be insurable with TVHS' vehicle insurance company. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) within three (3) months of hire date.
