SITE MANAGER 0-5 A resume must be submitted to be considered for this position. Full-Time, Excellent Benefits and Paid Time Off Starting Wage: $31.50 per hour, based on Education and Experience. PURPOSE: TheSite Manager 0-5 oversees the day-to-day operations of assigned center(s),provides supervision of all center staff and provides guidance, support andleadership to the center team. Thisposition monitors quality provision of relationship-based integrated servicesprovided to children and families. TheSite Manager 0-5 represents and promotes Head Start (HS) and Early Head Start (EHS)within the community. ESSENTIAL JOBDUTIES: I. SITELEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISION OF QUALITY SERVICES A. Provideleadership and oversight for all center staff including the application ofreflective supervision practices. B. Providea strength-based approach to the monitoring of center staff job performanceincluding the identification of employee strengths and recommendations for workimprovements, training and individual employee goals. C. Providemodeling/coaching/mentoring/support related to the agency values, includingthat families, regardless of their circumstances, are capable of growth andchange. D. Superviseand monitor all center activities to ensure services are relationship-based, high-quality,comprehensive and delivered consistently. E. Monitorand ensure staff are implementing Child Safety and Supervision procedures atall times. F. Assistwith hiring new staff, as assigned; provide worksite orientation to new staff. G. Facilitatethe yearly licensing for each center through the Department of Early Learningand Care H. Monitorand ensure that all Department of Early Learning and Care rules and regulationsare followed within the centers. II. CENTEROPERATIONS MANAGEMENT A. Manageall daily and emergent center operational needs, including the scheduling ofstaff and ensuring required staffing ratios are maintained at all times. B. Reviewand ensure maintenance of integrated child/family files, both paper andelectronically. C. Reviewand approve all input into electronic time sheets, mileage sheets, writtendestination logs, required monitoring forms, etc. D. Overseeand ensure confidentiality of all recordkeeping, data entry and record storage. E. Maintaincenter budget, center supplies and ensure in-kind donations are accuratelyrecorded. F. Overseeongoing facility maintenance, including safety and sanitation; complete workorders, as needed. G. Actas liaison with landlord or co-tenants when required. H. Prepareand submit monitoring reports to Site Manager Lead/EHS Director, as required. III. COMMUNICATION,COLLABORATION AND TEAMWORK A. Facilitateeffective communication between center staff, parents, other agency staff andthe community. B. Conductregular center meetings; encourage and promote problem solving within thecenter teams. C. Collaboratewith agency staff and community partners to promote the involvement of childrenwith special needs and their families in the program. D. Requestand schedule department consultations to respond to individual child and familyneeds; schedule mental health observations; support on-site services fromcommunity partners and service providers; participate in child staffings, asneeded. E. Collaboratewith Department Managers and Directors, as well as, Education Coaches and theProfessional Development Trainer to ensure staff receive needed training andskill development. F. Collaboratewith agency supervisory or management staff in order to provide qualityfeedback for center staff 1:1's and action plans; collaborate on annualstaffing assignments, disciplinary actions and/or terminations. G. Promoteand facilitate child and family transitions from Early Head Start to Head Startand Head Start to local elementary schools. IV. WORKENVIRONMENT AND SAFETY A. Activelycontribute to, and maintain, a safe and pleasant work environment. B. Followall safety regulations, policies and procedures and ensure staff do as well. V. OTHERDUTIES May be assigned other related duties asappropriate and within the scope of general responsibilities for this position. REQUIRED JOBSPECIFICATIONS: Education: BA/BS in Early Childhood Education or ChildDevelopment or other related degree preferred. AA required or may consider ORO step 9 and 2 years of related experiencein lieu of education. Certification orAccreditation: Agency will assist in obtaining necessarycertification if candidate does not already have them such as: CPR/First Aid and Food Handler Certification. Experience: Minimum 2 years staff supervision and 2 yearsworking with low-income children and families REQUIRED. Essential Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal and writtencommunication skills; proficiency in the use of computer software programs; strongstaff leadership, supervision and effective group facilitation skills; strongdesire and ability to collaborate with others; ability to work efficientlyunder pressure and meet deadlines; ability to develop relationships withcommunity partners. Essential MentalSkills: Must be self-directed and able to maintainhigh level of confidentiality; must be able to practice unconditional positiveregard and embrace diversity for children, families and co-workers; must beable to accept, reflect and act upon feedback; must be highly organized,flexible and open to change; demonstrate good judgement and problem solving. Essential Physical Requirements: Ability to occasionally lift/carry up to 35lbs. a distance of 10 feet and to push/pull up to 35 lbs. a distance of 10yards. Ability to sit for long periodsof time. Sufficient mobility and rangeof motion to perform intermittent standing, walking, balancing, stooping,bending, crouching, crawling, sitting on the floor, reaching, squatting orkneeling, twisting and ascend/descend steps. Ability to react quickly to the physical actions of children and toperform the physical requirements of bus monitor. Sufficient vision and hearing to perform jobduties. Sufficient manual dexterity andeye-hand coordination to perform job duties. Ability to drive a motor vehicle.
