Take charge of switchboard operations and alarm monitoring during night shifts, serving as the central communications hub for the facility. This role involves managing after-hours answering services, disseminating critical information, and maintaining accurate departmental records. Essential Responsibilities Monitor and dispatch internal emergency responses aligned with standardized emergency codes and integrated life and facility safety alarms. Collaborate closely with 911 dispatchers during emergency situations. Serve as the Communication Center during incident command activations for internal or external disasters such as mass casualty events or severe weather conditions. Receive and route after-hours calls efficiently and accurately. Demonstrate proficiency in handling communications via switchboard, public address systems, and various written, oral, and electronic methods. Utilize on-call systems effectively, interpreting schedules and adhering to telecommunications protocols for staff contact. Maintain compliance with privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI). Foster professional and effective communication with patients, team members, contractors, physicians, outside agencies, and the public. General Responsibilities Perform additional duties as assigned. Education Preferred: Associate's Degree or higher in communications or a related field. Experience Preferred: Previous switchboard or dispatching experience and at least one year of office or healthcare employment.
