Your Responsibilities: Develop and prepare diverse, nutritionally balanced menus that accommodate various dietary needs. Cook meals, snacks, and baked goods, ensuring exceptional quality, taste, and presentation. Adhere to food safety protocols to ensure the health and well-being of the crew. Maintain a clean and organized galley while ensuring kitchen equipment is in excellent working condition. Enhance the dining experience by welcoming special requests when feasible. Collaborate with the vessel master to adhere to budget guidelines. Travel to assigned port locations based on crew needs. What You Need: ServeSafe Certification. A minimum of 3 years of proven cooking or chef experience. Willingness to work 28-day rotating assignments on a vessel. Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) by the time of your interview. Valid driver's license. Knowledge of maritime catering and provisioning. Exceptional culinary skills and adaptability to various cuisines. Understanding of food safety standards. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
