As an Appointment Coordinator in our call center, you will play a vital role in facilitating access to care by scheduling appointments, providing accurate information, and assisting with patient inquiries. Key Responsibilities Promptly answer incoming calls, document and route messages accurately. Assist patients with appointment scheduling and provide clear, compassionate information. Maintain professional communication across phone, electronic, and written channels. Ensure accurate and complete patient records in electronic systems to support continuity of care. Effectively communicate detailed information to ensure proper scheduling and follow-up. Address patient questions and concerns by identifying needs, offering solutions, and escalating issues when necessary. Utilize de-escalation and service recovery techniques to maintain patient satisfaction. Support call center performance goals and engage in ongoing training while upholding confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Education High school diploma or GED required. Post-secondary education in healthcare or related fields is preferred. Experience Customer service experience is essential, with at least two years preferred in a call center or medical office setting. Mental and Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods and operate telephone and computer workstations. Strong oral and written communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed information. Working Conditions Typical call center environment with frequent interaction with patients, providers, and clinical staff. The role involves managing a moderate to high volume of calls with continuous telephone and computer use.
