We are looking for a mechanical assembler to work for one of our cleints. You won't just be sitting at a bench; you'll be building complex industrial components that require a steady hand and a sharp eye. If you take pride in seeing a project go from a pile of parts to a fully functional machine, we want you on our production floor. Experience: 2+ years in mechanical assembly or a related trade (auto-mechanic experience is a great plus). Blueprint Literacy: Ability to read and follow complex multi-page assembly drawings. Manual Dexterity: Hand-eye coordination for working with small hardware and delicate components. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs when moving components. Work Ethic: A track record of reliability and showing salary: $18 - $20 per hour shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM education: No Degree Required Responsibilities Technical Assembly: Build, fit, and install mechanical components according to engineering blueprints and technical schematics. Tool Proficiency: Expert use of hand and power tools, including torque wrenches, air tools, and precision measuring instruments (calipers/micrometers) to ensure perfect fitment. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve alignment or fitment issues during the assembly process-don't just pass the problem down the line. Quality Documentation: Perform basic functional testing and document completion to ensure every unit meets the "Karp Standard." Shop Safety: Maintain a clean, organized workstation and adhere to all OSHA safety protocols to protect yourself and the team.
