Summary/objective: Steel Craft Technologies is looking to hire a quality assembler that will focus on ensuring necessary quality standards are met for their team at their Grand Rapids, MI plant. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years' experience or more of quality/assembling work or experience in the tool and die trade, be highly motivated to learn, and be a team player. No experience required for candidates that have a good work ethic and a willingness to learn. On the job training will be provided. Essential functions: Deburr parts as needed Complete any offline work with hand tools, drill press, saw, etc. Complete quality checks to ensure features are in tolerance Assembly Packaging for shipping Load/unload trucks for shipping & receiving Maintain appropriate tools Keep current on tool calibration Assist with a wide variety of shop tasks as requested Keep work area clean Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management Maintain regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours Required competency, education, and experience: High school diploma or equivalent Ability to follow instructions Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner Willingness to be trained as necessary Preferred education and experience: Experience with running a drill press and saw Experience with deburring General understanding of machinery Work environment: Manufacturing environment. Physical demands: Candidate must have full use of all limbs. Candidate must be able to read and speak English. Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds. Ability to sit (or stand) for long periods of time Ability to use motorized equipment (i.e. forklift). Ability to use hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Position type and expected hours of work: Full time, Monday through Friday, 3:15 pm to 1:45 am.
