Job Description Summary The Director of Corporate Security and Investigations develops, implements, and administers a comprehensive facility safety and security plans to ensure to protection of staff, visitors, and property of Raymond James. In this senior level position, the director will be responsible for providing a safe and secure environment at Raymond James corporate locations in and around New York City. As an experienced security professional, will be involved in overseeing physical security, electronic access control, visitor management, CCTV and life safety systems. In addition, will assist with establishing strategic goals for the department. Constant interaction with associates and guests, with a focus on exceptional customer service. Will utilize their extensive knowledge and skills obtained through years of education and experience to provide security, safety, and investigative leadership to the New York offices. Manages security and criminal related investigations and works closely with the AML group on fraud investigations. Job Description Responsibilities: Assists in developing, implementing, and managing complex corporate-wide strategic security plans, with clear goals and directives. Oversees the security operations in multiple corporate locations, to include access control systems, electronic fingerprint systems, and life safety systems, to name a few. Has working knowledge of applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Life Safety Code 101, and Federal and State Agency mandated safety related regulations. Meets regularly with all members of the Security Department. Plans, assigns, monitors and manages the work of others. Monitors the progress of projects, reports results with senior management, and initiates corrective action as required. Reviews performance appraisals and evaluates results achieved by subordinates. Coaches and mentors personnel within the Security division in promotion of self-growth and career development. Interprets, applies and recommends new approaches to organizational policies and procedures. Balances conflicting resources and priority demands. Interacts with senior management to provide regular updates to the Home Office and Branch emergency procedures manuals. Oversees the Fire Safety and Warden programs in a corporate location and several offsite locations. Writes and implements Safety and Security policies and procedures. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of Advanced concepts, principles and practices for providing security in a corporate setting. Security threats and trends, and protocol for handling security and emergency situations. Incidents involving acts of terrorism, bomb threats, fire safety, theft, and other acts of workplace violence. Strong law enforcement background, with the ability to build and maintain working relationships throughout the law enforcement and security communities. Skill in Emergency management and operations. Project management experience and execution skills. Operating standard office equipment and learning required software programs. Managing multiple tasks with changing priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with constant interruptions. Coordinating security and investigative activities within the criminal justice system. Interpersonal skills Ability to Effectively manage 320 Park Ave. location and nearby branch offices. Coach, mentor, and lead others. Prepare an annual budget and business plans. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Collaborate with security boundary partners to accomplish objectives. Collaborate with building security resources to ensure alignment on security response protocols Facilitate meetings, ensuring that all viewpoints, ideas, and problems are addressed. Establish and foster relationships with local and federal law enforcement agencies. Recognize possible or existing security/safety irregularities or problems and provide solutions. Serve as local incident commander during security related incidents, and provide situation reports to local leaders Provide quick and comprehensive response to critical security-related incidents against employees or assets. Provide expertise, direction and support on all matters relating to physical security, security risk, risk identification, analysis and integration, production operations, security awareness, crisis management, travel security, executive security and investigative matters. Education/Previous Experience Bachelor's Degree in Criminology with a minimum of ten(10) years in law enforcement. Minimum 8 years supervisory experience. ~OR ~ An equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training. Licenses/Certifications Appropriate Armed Security License as required by office location or willingness to obtain within 120 days. AED, CPR and First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain within 120 days.
