Initiates a plan of anesthesia care (general, regional, monitored anesthesia care) under the supervision or direction of an attending anesthesiologist. Prepares and tests anesthesia equipment to ensure proper functioning. Inserts and/or uses invasive and non-invasive monitoring devices for continuous evaluation of the patient's status under anesthesia. Demonstrates proficiency in monitoring and management of airway; cardiovascular, pulmonary, and neuromuscular status; and emergence and recovery from an anesthetic. Supervises, instructs and evaluates student anesthetists. Qualifications Licensure/Certification: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) and a Florida-licensed Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP).
