Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: The purpose of this position is to perform essential administrative duties in support of the day-to-day operations, administration, and maintenance of the Indian Creek Recreation Area, which is operated by Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry. The Indian Creek Lake and Recreation Area includes a 2,250-acre lake, 100 acres od developed recreation facilities, and a 250-acre primitive camping area. Performs customer service to a high degree of excellence. Operates the welcome station (fee station) at the park entrance. Register overnight guests. Collect fees for daily use customers and overnight guests. Answers questions and provides information about accommodations and amenities, policies, procedures, laws, fees, general tourist information; enforces rules as necessary. Performs varies administrative tasks such as answering telephone calls and processing incoming mail. Sorts, files, and distributes general correspondence, human resources memoranda, emails, and faxed documents. Operates general office equipment to include computer, copier, fax, calculator, etc. Serves as back up time administrator and as such compiles, verifies, and enters employee time records and payroll corrections in HCM; process the necessary time administration reports and maintains documentation in accordance with LDAF records retention schedule. May compile data and/or prepare daily and/or weekly revenue and visitation reports. Assists in completing daily bank deposits, when directed; ensures proper documentation is submitted for reconciliation. Assists in the purchasing of materials and supplies, as needed. Posts on social media; ensures information is professional, accurate, and grammatically correct. Performs regular overall site inspections. Maintains cleanliness of fee station. Conducts educational programs for the guests during set times, or as needed. Ensures equipment used for programs is maintained and returned in working order. Performs other related duties as may be assigned. NOTE: The incumbent may be required to work a rotating schedule which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. May also be required to report to after-hour emergency calls.
