Position Type: Summer School/Middle School Summer School Teacher Date Posted: 1/28/2026 Location: Middle School Date Available: 06/01/2026 Closing Date: Until filled Summer School Teachers: Middle School Summer school will be held in person at the Middle School with an emphasis on skill recovery in math and language arts, Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Physical Education (P.E.) instruction. A self-contained EL program will also be staffed during Summer School. Teachers may be responsible for chaperoning periodic field trips, community engagement activities, etc. during Summer School. Upon application, teachers should indicate their preference of teaching math, language arts, or exploratory. Schedule (dates/hours): Barring any make-up days that may be needed. Paid unit planning and scheduled in-service times prior to start of Summer School TBD (up to 16 hours, February through May) Prior to June 1st up to 6 hours of paid prep time the week of May 25th Monday through Thursday, June 1st through June 26th 7:45 am until 12:15 pm. Additional hours will be available for Thursday afternoon enrichment activities. Wrap up: Up to 4 hours of time for reporting and cleaning up by the end of the day June 26th. Important Notes: See attached job description/requirements. Candidates must hold a current Nebraska teaching certificate. Certified staff pay rate is $40.00 per hour up to $240/day.
