As an Automotive Parts Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional support for our DIY customers. This position requires advanced knowledge of automotive systems and expert skills in part identification and troubleshooting. You will become a trusted resource for our customers, guiding them through their vehicle needs with a high level of professionalism. Primary Responsibilities: Deliver an outstanding customer experience through proactive assistance during visits and phone inquiries. Meet and exceed personal and store sales objectives. Conduct DIY services, including battery installations, testing, and wiper installations. Maintain high standards for customer service and store presentation. Perform key holder duties including task assignment, safety management, and handling opening/closing procedures. Secondary Responsibilities: Assist with inventory management tasks such as receiving shipments, conducting cycle counts, and organizing back stock. Ensure store cleanliness and orderliness, including floors, bathrooms, and parking lot maintenance. Provide expert advice on DIY services. Success Factors: Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. Strong proficiency in locating and stocking parts. Knowledge of safety regulations and practices. Experience operating inventory management systems and store equipment. Expertise in automotive systems and parts knowledge. Proficient in using POS systems and parts lookup tools. Capable of operating and interpreting diagnostic equipment. Essential Job Skills: In-depth understanding of automotive systems, including internal engines, suspensions, brakes, electrical systems, and exhausts. Ability to communicate effectively in English (Spanish skills are a plus). Capability to interpret various operational documents and manuals. Strong organizational and mathematical skills. Familiarity with Microsoft software, especially Word and Excel. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Prior Experience Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in automotive parts sales. Demonstrated success in fulfilling customer transactions. Qualifications: Must possess a valid driver's license. ASE certification is preferred but not required. This position is full-time.
