We are seeking a Promotions Intern for Dollywood Resorts who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while caring deeply about our brand. This individual is driven to create meaningful experiences for our hosts, guests, and community while ensuring the success and profitability of our unique offerings. The right Promotions Intern will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator. This position is responsible for working with the Marketing Team in the day-to-day operations of all aspects of the park's promotional programs and activities. Under the direction of the supervising staff member to whom the intern directly reports, intern will be immersed in the marketing of a world-class vacation destination with exposure to all marketing, regardless of specialization. Intern also will assist in promotional event planning, preparation and execution, and promotional contesting execution, as requested/required. In turn, intern will satisfactorily complete individual program requirements to satisfy college/university credit and/or course study requirements. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable. Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities Explore The Dollywood Company's history and culture to better contribute to the key messaging for assigned projects Represent the Dollywood Company brands through interaction with visiting media as assigned Communicate accurate, compelling and timely information regarding The Dollywood Company that is consistent with public relations and marketing messages Understand the phone and computer systems used daily Participate in events from concept to execution as assigned Fulfill promotional giveaway requests by ensuring partners receive correct prizing in a timely manner Assist Marketing team with various on-park signage and promotional collateral creation and execution Conduct research and exploration of Season Pass program enhancement ideas Education and Experience Required Must be a minimum of 18 years of age Must be enrolled in an accredited college degree program in a related field. Employees may also be required to travel to various areas on property which may include changes in terrain, stairs and uneven surfaces Repetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions Environmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat.
