Molly's Cupcakes River East is seeking a motivated Pastry Assistant to join our pastry team. This role supports daily baking and production and is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced, creative kitchen environment. Position DetailsStatus: Part-time or full-time Schedule: Approximately 2-5 shifts per week Typical hours: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Weekend availability required Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the preparation of batters, buttercreams, frostings, mousses, and fillings Support daily baking and pastry production according to established recipes and standards Assist with cake decorating and finishing, as assigned Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality standards Work efficiently while standing for extended periods in a fast-paced environment Collaborate with the pastry team to meet daily production needs QualificationsMinimum 1 year of pastry or baking experience preferred Experience with batters, buttercreams, frostings, and mousses strongly preferred Cake decorating and baking experience a plus Strong attention to detail and consistency Self-motivated, dependable, and able to follow direction Positive attitude with a solution-oriented mindset Enjoys working with food and contributing to a creative team environment Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods Ability to lift 50 pounds or more as needed Comfortable working early morning shifts We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a collaborative pastry team.
