Job SummaryThe CDL Class A Driver (Transport) is responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination or straight truck to transport parcels between terminals.Hours and Wages Monday-Friday, 7:30PM start10-15 hours of overtime expected each weekPaid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week$23.00-$27.00 per hour, based on experience+$5.00 shift premium for start times between 5:00pm - 4:59am Duties and Responsibilities Conduct a pre-trip inspection before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working orderTurn in pre-trip form and complete mileage and maintenance formsDrive between terminals to transport parcelsMaintain all required certifications required by DOT and company safety policiesWash the exterior of tractor and equipment dailyAssist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pick up as needed Skills and Abilities Ability to operate a manual transmissionMust possess or have the ability to obtain a doubles/triples endorsementMust possess good customer service and organizational skillsMust be able to work independently and make quick decisions Education and Experience At least 21 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredHold a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a good driving record that meets company standards Physical Requirements Ability to pass a DOT physicalAbility to lift 50 pounds regularly up to 100 pounds occasionallyFull range of motion with no limits on grasping, standing, squatting, stair climbing, walking, etc.Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals Benefits Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), Employee Assistance Program, 401(k) Plan, Quarterly Bonuses, and more.
