Description Job Overview The Assistant Finance Manager supports Financial Managers in serving as a strategic liaison between financial reporting, property management, and external clients. This role is instrumental in strengthening client relationships, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring effective communication across internal departments. Responsibilities Support Financial Managers in building and maintaining strong relationships with treasurers and boards, providing ongoing decision support to help ensure sound financial operations. Respond to client inquiries and provide clear, helpful guidance on matters related to financial management. Participate in client meetings as needed. Assist in onboarding new properties, ensuring accurate and efficient setup. Prepare Form 1098 filings with high attention to detail to ensure accurate mortgage interest reporting. Collaborate with Financial Managers to enhance communication between Client Accounting, Property Managers, and clients. Review and present monthly financial statements. Contribute to special projects as assigned. Assist Team Leaders throughout the budgeting process. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 1-3 years of experience in a business partner or client-facing role preferred. Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality client service and maintaining strong client satisfaction. Strong understanding of assets, cash balances, project funding availability, and cash flow requirements for capital improvements. Ability to collaborate effectively, address issues constructively, and contribute positively to team dynamics. High energy, strong multitasking skills, and ability to manage competing priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Yardi, MDS, or similar property management accounting software preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, and other data management tools.
