SALARY: The salary range for this position is $59,661.54 to $96,767.80 for Schedule A, and $59,661.54 to $91,929.42 for Schedule B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater.Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule A. The Passaic Vicinage Finance Division is seeking a finance professional with strong analytical, customer service, administrative, and cash management skills to perform accounting, financial, and administrative functions. The successful candidate should possess strong technical, reasoning, self-management, and PC skills; possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team; adhere to deadlines; show attention to detail; prioritize work assignments; work with regulatory policies and directives; participate in team or work unit meetings; and provide cross training to coworkers as needed. Under the general direction of the Court Executive 2B (Finance Division Manager) and Court Executive 1B (Assistant Finance Division Manager), or other supervisory personnel in the division, the responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to: Performing cash control functions (daily cash register cash outs, deposit preparations, and reconciliations); recording data entry of financial information into various mainframe systems such as CAPS, CABS, FACTS, ACMS, NJKiDS; processing daily child support application and alimony only monitoring fees; processing family fees pending; analyzing and reconciling transactions to FACTS daily reports, JEDS, and JFMS; performing Guardianship financial reviews for accuracy and compliance with laws, regulations and guardianship monitoring policies and procedures; analyzing and reconciling bank statements and financial transactions; collecting and/or maintaining case statistics or financial data to generate status reports and MS Excel financial analysis reports; prepare and enter accounting entries for financial audits and/or reviews; performing variance analysis and determining the course of action to correct mis-posts and financial errors or discrepancies; recommending improvements in operating procedures, programs, standards, work processes, or administrative practices; and performing other work duties or responsibilities by management as operationally required. This individual will also perform cashier duties at a Finance payment window, prepare cash and checks deposits, and other related duties as required, including acting as the lead person in resolving unidentified accounts and unverified cases in CAPS and NJKiDS. REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 21 credit hours in accounting, business administration, economics, public administration, statistics, mathematics, data analytics and/or financial related courses. Six of these credit hours must be in accounting. Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education, but do possess the 21 accounting, business administration, economics, public administration, statistics, mathematics, data analytics and/or financial related courses, including six accounting credit hours, may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits.
