For more information, please visit our website at The Opportunity We are looking for a community-focused Volunteer Local Donor Outreach Partner to strengthen our roots in Chicago by building meaningful, in-person relationships with local financial supporters. This role involves serving as an enthusiastic ambassador, making initial contacts with potential individual donors and small businesses, and personally thanking those who contribute. This position is ideal for someone who loves meeting people, networking in the neighborhood, and has a passion for mission-driven fundraising. Key Responsibilities Local Donor Engagement (70%) In-Person Outreach: Attend local community events and networking groups to identify and introduce YourPassion1st to potential individual donors and local business owners. Cultivation: Schedule and conduct initial, low-pressure introductory meetings to share our mission and vision with prospective supporters. Stewardship: Deliver personalized, in-person thank-you notes and small tokens of appreciation to existing local donors to deepen their connection to our impact. Community Ambassador (30%) Representation: Act as a cheerful and professional representative of YourPassion1st at community meetings and local non-profit gatherings. Resource Identification: Collect contact information for potential supporters, sponsors, and in-kind resource providers (e.g., event spaces, supplies). Communication Support: Relay community feedback and insights back to the central development team to help tailor our local engagement strategy. Required Qualifications People Person: Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine enthusiasm for initiating conversations and building rapport face-to-face. Local Presence: Must be willing and able to travel regularly within the Chicago area to attend meetings and events.
