Position Highlights Department: Employee Health Services/Occupational Medicine Hours: 40 hours per week (M-F 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.) Position Summary The Employee Health Services Administrative Assistant is the central point of communication among patients, providers, and other members of the health care team. Provides registration data entry, clerical and reception functions including answering and routing telephone calls, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, processing medical records requests, filing, billing and any related tasks as delegated by the Manager or Department Director. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Computer skills and knowledge required. Secretarial experience in an office based physician practice, preferably in Occupational Medicine/Employee Health. Superior customer service and communication skills. Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and some Medical terminology. Preferred Skills: College degree Electronic Health record knowledge/use. Exceptional customer service and telephone etiquette. Solid time management skills. Effective communication skills both speaking and writing.
