A Typical Day... Working as a Tax Specialist at H&R Block means receiving comprehensive training and support from an expert team, ensuring you have the skills to excel. Enjoy the freedom and flexibility that come with the role, along with opportunities to enhance your income while embracing your unique lifestyle. Engage in tax consultations with clients, both in-person and through virtual platforms such as video, phone, chat, and email. Prepare accurate and detailed tax returns for clients. Drive business growth, improve client retention, and promote additional products and services. Offer support to clients regarding IRS inquiries. Contribute to office objectives through teamwork and collaboration. Enhance your knowledge and expertise in tax-related matters. It would be even better if you also had... A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. Experience in customer service or retail settings. A background working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Availability to work 25-35 hours weekly during the tax season, with the possibility of up to 40 hours during peak weeks. What you'll bring to the team... Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course. Experience in a fast-paced work environment. Comfort in utilizing virtual communication tools like video and chat. Strong communication skills in-person, on the phone, and in writing. Compliance with all IRS and relevant state requirements. High school diploma or equivalent education.
