Job Description As a Pharmacy Operations Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing all pharmacy functions, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and corporate standards. Your mission will be to enhance performance within the pharmacy department by efficiently managing budgets, controlling overtime expenses, developing staff capabilities, delivering exceptional customer service, overseeing prescription pricing and inventory, and executing approved clinical services. Key Responsibilities Act as a staff pharmacist, setting a positive example for the pharmacy team; expertly address customer complaints and optimize workflows to reduce wait times. Craft and manage the pharmacy department's sales strategies and initiatives. Fulfill all responsibilities of a registered pharmacist while adhering to legal and corporate guidelines. Lead the pharmacy team in achieving inventory goals, preventing excess stock, and ensuring effective training in ordering and inventory control. Strictly follow protocols for controlled substances as per corporate policies. Oversee the profitability of third-party insurance operations and resolve any issues efficiently. Optimize pharmacy staff scheduling to manage labor costs effectively. Maintain pharmacy records in accordance with legal requirements and company policies. Drive the pharmacy towards meeting budgeted labor, volume, inventory, and sales targets. Engage effectively with local physicians and community stakeholders. Actively participate in public health initiatives and disease management programs. Be prepared for independent travel as necessary to fulfill business needs. Supervise, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to your team. Flourish in a fast-paced environment, managing stress and conflict constructively. Uphold the integrity of customer and business information. Seek guidance when needed to resolve challenges effectively. Support individuals of all ages and abilities, including minors and older adults. Execute essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited U.S. School of Pharmacy. Minimum of 2 years of relevant retail experience or equivalent qualifications. Must be at least 21 years old. Current pharmacy license in good standing. Proven leadership abilities. Capability to read and interpret prescriptions and related documents. Skilled in writing routine reports and correspondence. Dedication to outstanding customer service. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Commitment to continuous education and professional development. Engagement in clinical programs as per company policy. Desired Qualifications Relevant Pharmacy Board Certification(s). Background in business management through experience or education.
