The Heavy Eequipment Operator-Driver operates construction equipment and vehicles; performs maintenance of such equipment. Employees in this position also support the City's CDL-driving functions and may be called upon to operate DOT vehicles in support of other Public Works functions. Qualifications High school diploma or the equivalent and three (3) years' experience in the operation of a variety of construction equipment; OR and equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Special Requirements Class A Commercial Driver's license (CDL). Miscellaneous Information Under the US Department of Transportation (USDOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), this position is subject to mandatory drug testing per title 49 CFR, Part 40. All applicants must meet FMCSA pre-employment requirements prior to being allowed to perform safety-sensitive functions or operate a covered City vehicle.
