Utilizes established mathematical and scientific techniques to compile and analyze data. Writes technical reports detailing procedures, outcomes, and observations. Laboratory analyses for molecular detection and/or characterization of microorganisms from seafood samples; with emphasis on Sanger sequencing, next generation sequencing, and bioinformatics; Laboratory analyses to develop, optimize, and/or validate methods for the identification of pathogens in seafood; Laboratory analyses for the extraction of nucleic acid (RNA/DNA) templates from seafood samples for molecular analyses; Laboratory analyses for the isolation and identification of microorganisms from seafood samples; Appropriate documentation results of all laboratory analyses; Data analysis and drafting project reports describing progress which documents and summarizes the results of work completed throughout the entirety of the applicable task order year; Data analysis and generation of manuscripts for the publication of results; Environmental sample collection.
