Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift | Lima, OH (Travel Assignment) Travel Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry RN (Night Shift) in Lima, OH | 13-week travel contract, estimated pay $1,800-$1,890/week. Job Details Location: Lima, OH 45801 (Lima, Ohio healthcare jobs) Start Date: March 9, 2026 End Date: June 8, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Employment Type: Travel Contract (On-Site) - Travel Nurse / Travel RN assignment Shift: 12-hour nights Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890 Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry Ortho (28 beds) Patient Population: Orthopedic, trauma ortho, select medical, and bariatric post-op patients Support Staff: Unit clerk (M-F, 7a-3:30p), charge RN with assignment, clinical shift supervisor at night Job Requirements (Registered Nurse / Telemetry RN) Experience: Minimum 2 years recent RN experience required; 1 year Med/Surg Telemetry experience preferred (Med-Surg RN, Telemetry RN) License: Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (Ohio nursing jobs) Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Clinical Skills: Dysrhythmia exam required (study guide available); experience with surgical drains (Hemovac, JP, True-close), post-op ortho care, safe patient mobilization Preferred Technology: Experience with Alaris infusion pumps, hercules beds, and Epic EHR Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and ability to remain composed in high-acuity situations Responsibilities (Med/Surg Telemetry RN) Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop/update individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for Med/Surg and telemetry patients, including continuous cardiac monitoring and escalation for rhythm changes Administer medications and treatments per policy; assess therapeutic response and monitor for adverse effects Manage lines, drains, and devices (Hemovac, JP, True-close) and support post-op recovery and mobilization Provide oxygen therapy as indicated (nasal cannula, venturi mask, occasional non-rebreather, and BiPAP when appropriate) Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and support staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care Educate patients and families on post-op expectations, mobility, drain care, and discharge planning Promote patient safety, privacy, and quality improvement initiatives while maintaining composure during high-acuity events Why Join This Travel Nursing Job Work in a modern 28-bed Med/Surg Telemetry Ortho unit with a supportive team Hands-on orthopedic and post-operative nursing experience for professional growth Competitive weekly pay ($1,800-$1,890) for travel RN assignments in Ohio Opportunity to expand telemetry and dysrhythmia monitoring skills and experience with Epic EHR Apply today to join our healthcare team as a Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) in Lima, OH.
