Description Home Search Jobs Job Description Lab Technician Contract: Johnston, Iowa, US Salary Range: 20.00 - 22.00 | Per Hour Job Code: 367726 End Date: 2026-03-25 Days Left: 22 days, 2 hours left Apply About Role: Lab-based molecular biology position supporting high-throughput genome editing research and development initiatives. Focused on executing quantitative NGS and/or qPCR workflows while performing accurate, data-driven analysis. Contributes to continuous process optimization and method improvement to enhance efficiency, reproducibility, and scientific quality. Responsibilities: Execute and maintain a reliable molecular screening pipeline aligned with R&D objectives for genome editing discovery and characterization. Perform DNA/RNA isolation, NGS library preparation, qPCR assays, and related molecular biology techniques. Design and conduct experiments, including hypothesis testing, data collection, and analytical interpretation of gene editing results. Analyze and interpret experimental datasets using established quantitative methods and laboratory databases/LIMS systems. Document experimental procedures, results, and observations with accuracy and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate findings, troubleshoot workflows, and implement process improvements. Support technology development initiatives and contribute to optimization of molecular protocols. Ensure strict adherence to laboratory safety policies, equipment maintenance standards, and quality control procedures.
