Exceptional Pay & Benefits: Weekly earnings between $7,000 - $9,000, gross. Average payment per load is $2,200, gross, or $2.50 per mile, gross. If you do not have your own trailer, you'll receive 72% of the load for reefer deliveries. If you do have your own trailer, you'll enjoy 80% of the load for reefer deliveries. APL Cargo covers the cost of insurance, compensating for the remaining percentage. Typical distance per load ranges from 800 to 1,000 miles. Trailer leasing options are available for those who need them. Leases are for trailers only; drivers must have their own truck/tractor. Account Requirements & Options: A mandatory weekly administration fee of $175 covers registration fees, back-office support, permits, 2290, IFTA, & tablet rental. Occupational insurance is required; APL Cargo offers this plan at a cost of $37.50 per week. A cargo liability deposit of $2,500 is mandatory, collected at $100 per week for 25 weeks. An optional driver legal plan is strongly recommended at $2.98 per week. Optional operational escrow ensures consistent paychecks during time off; weekly contributions determined by the driver. A maintenance account option is available; if selected, APL Cargo manages repairs with costs deducted from the account. If not selected, APL Cargo is not responsible for financial assistance with repairs. Driver Requirements: Must hold a valid Class A CDL. At least 2 years of driving experience is required.
