General Information: Job title: Carpenter Schedule: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm Weekend rotation: Weekend rotation required Holiday rotation: Holiday rotation required Position participates on a call rotation with the facility services team.Position Summary: The Carpenter position performs interior and exterior carpentry to maintain the outer clinics and hospital to keep everything up and running. Position Responsibilities: Perform interior and exterior carpentry to maintain buildings. Perform remodels as requested. Rekey locks, change doorknobs, and adjust doors. Replace or repair windows and flooring; hang and fix cabinets. Assemble desks and repair desks and file cabinets. Assess and repair roofs as needed. Perform all other duties as requested. Position Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of formal apprenticeship program or completion of in-company training program to satisfaction of maintenance supervision. 3+ years of related carpentry experience required. Must maintain a valid, current driver's license and be MBMC insurable. Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Excellent carpentry skills required. Basic understanding of mechanical functions. Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions. Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication skills. Considerable attention required to prevent injury to self and others when working on ladders and scaffolds.
