Nurse Surgical Quality & Patient Safety Manager reports to the Director of Quality Resources and partners closely with the Chief of Surgery, OR Nursing Leadership, and Anesthesia leadership in a triad model to drive strategic priorities. Nurse Surgical Quality & Patient Safety Manager will experience a fast-paced, professional, and highly collaborative environment alongside skilled anesthesia providers, surgeons, nurses, techs, and perioperative leaders. Perioperative Quality & Safety Manager will champion OR Quality Management and act as a Manager of Perioperative Quality resource to unify standards and elevate performance across inpatient and ambulatory settings. Nurse Surgical Quality & Patient Safety Manager will design, develop, and implement tools to measure and benchmark clinical outcomes, ensure regulatory compliance, lead high-quality case screening across service lines, and manage submissions to external surgical quality databases. Serving as part of the surgical leadership triad with the Chief and OR Nursing Leadership, this role integrates best practices, conducts root cause analyses, establishes key metrics for quality improvement, and reduces unexpected outcomes. Responsibilities also include overseeing dashboards, data integrity, survey readiness, policy development, physician relations, registry abstraction, education, and competency sustainment.
