Programs include inpatient interventions, jail-based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long-term psychiatric services are coordinated with the total system of care in LouisianaELMHS is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join the team in our CFS department.Minimum QualificationsFive years of experience in administrative services; ORSix years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in administrative services; ORA bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in administrative services; ORAn advanced degree plus one year of experience in administrative services.EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.Job SpecificationThe official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be foundhere (.Job Duties and Other InformationJob Duties:In this role, you will: Serve as a programmatic support manager, have responsibility for overseeing and guiding the specialists who coordinate civil judicial commitments, admit pre-trial clients, and supervise the probation of NGBRI clients. Assign work as appropriate and monitor for accurate completion within stated deadlines. Approve leave within ELMHS and LDH guidelines. Monitor and direct subordinates' daily schedules and activities as needed. Track performance and complete new and annual CPMs in a timely. Document for CPM and discipline purposes. Coach and train subordinates on office procedures, technical aspects, and behavioral expectations Oversee the Civil Judicial Process Ensure proper reports are made timely, staff are notified of court dates, physicians are notified of reports needed and subpoenas. Communicate effectively with judges, DA's, Physicians, Social Workers, and Forensic district Coordinator's concerning court heartings, court due dates, and court documents. Coordinate competency evaluations and prepare reports for the court. Facilitate the process of transferring clients back to jails after evaluations Follow up on court dates after report has been sent out Coordinate with legal representation and ensure accurate communication of evaluation outcomes Oversee the hospital admission of pre-trial clients. Ensure all required documents are available, including inpatient and conditional release clients.
