Buffalo Bridges Human Service Zone - Valley City, ND - Foster Care In-Home Case Manager Buffalo Bridges Human Service Zone Child Welfare/Family Services Department is seeking a Foster Care / In-Home Case Manager to ensure the safety, permanency and well-being of children and families in our community. Foster Care / In-Home Case Manager example of duties include: Assess and provide case management services for children residing in the home Develop case plans, goals, and safety plans for caretakers and children Reduce identified risks of child abuse and neglect Provide information and referral services for children and families Conduct case planning meetings Write affidavits and testify at court proceedings Maintain flexibility with on-call scheduling and non-traditional working hours To succeed in this position, you should have a passion for serving others and a desire to make a positive impact. You should be highly organized, able to manage your time and priorities effectively and have demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse populations. You will need to have a strong understanding of program policies and laws. You will also need to be comfortable working with all types of software and database applications, with a willingness to learn new technology programs and have attention to detail. To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, education, human services, child development and family science, behavioral health, or criminal justice. Plus, one of the following: Family Service Specialist III (SC7005): Two (2) years of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case manager. A master's degree may substitute for one (1) year of the work experience requirement. Family Services Specialist II (SC7004): One (1) year of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case manager. A master's degree in one of the above areas may substitute for the work experience requirement Family Services Specialist I (SC7004) : No work experience required A bachelor's degree as listed above Must maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance. Must complete Child Welfare certification. Individuals may be required to work some non-traditional hours. Frequent travel throughout Stutsman County and surrounding counties is required. Salary will be adjusted if position is filled with an underfill as an FSS I or FSS II The successful applicant must pass a standard background, motor vehicle, and criminal record check.
