This role is critical in securing the financial resources necessary to support Alamance Community College's programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing and project management skills, as well as experience in handling grant administration duties, including compliance, budgeting, and reporting. Example of Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Grant Writing: Research and identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other funding sources. Write, edit, and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents that align with funding requirements. Collaborate with program managers and finance teams to gather the necessary information for accurate and compelling proposals. Customize each grant application to meet the specific guidelines and priorities of each funder. Develop detailed project budgets and narratives in collaboration with program and finance staff. Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and ensure timely submission of all materials. Grant Administration: Manage post-award grant administration, including budget tracking, compliance monitoring, and reporting. Ensure all grant-funded programs follow funder requirements, including the use of funds and performance benchmarks. Prepare and submit regular progress and financial reports to funders as required. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all grant applications, awards, and reports. Monitor grant contracts and agreements to ensure adherence to the terms and conditions. Communicate with funders to address any questions, requests for amendments, or additional requirements. A master's degree is a plus. Proven experience in writing successful grant proposals and managing grant-funded projects. Strong understanding of budgeting and financial reporting as it relates to grant administration. Excellent research, writing, and editing skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong project management and organizational skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with grant management software (e.g., Salesforce, GrantHub) is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
