Job Title: Cable Technician - Commercial Environment Site Location: Las Vegas, NV Duration: 3+ month contract Pay Rate: 25-30/HR Start Date: Once cleared Job Duties: • Pull, route, label and terminate cable (fiber optic experience a plus) • Install and terminate low voltage and fiber optic cable • Install cable racks, j-hooks, inner duct, and other related structures • Install servers, switches, PDUs into server racks according to specifications • Install ladder racks, networking equipment and telephone equipment • Perform testing and troubleshooting of cabling • Ensure job site is clean at the end of shift • Work in a quick and efficient manner • Follow safety and security procedures Requirements: • Candidates will have experience with telecommunication cabling infrastructure, installation, troubleshooting, testing • Preferred candidates will have experience in commercial environments • Experience installing and dressing cables • Knowledge of industry standard cable specs • Must be able to lift 50lbs+ • Must have basic hand tools • High School diploma or equivalent • 3+ years of experience installing network cabling • Ability to follow blueprints/schematics • Ability to take direction from management and keep tasks within timeline • Own basic hand tools and safety gear required • Experience with fiber pulling and terminating preferred • Osha10 or higher required prior to start • Work on ladders/lifts as needed • Other duties as assigned
