Join our dynamic mining team as a Blasting Operations Leader, where you'll lead a skilled crew to execute safe and efficient blasting operations. In this pivotal role, you'll coordinate daily activities, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and provide mentorship to team members while managing both equipment and resources. Essential Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate blasting operations, ensuring that safety protocols and project timelines are firmly adhered to. Provide leadership and mentorship to crew members, creating a positive and productive work environment. Conduct inspections of blast sites, verifying the proper installation of detonator caps and boosters, ensuring complete compliance with specifications. Oversee the operation of heavy equipment (including skid steers and rock trucks) and guarantee proper maintenance and utilization. Communicate effectively with operational leaders and team members to promote a unified approach to productivity and safety. Monitor work conditions, implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain safe and efficient operations. Qualifications 3 to 5 years of experience and a solid understanding of the blasting process within the mining industry. At least 1 year of supervisory experience with a proven track record of leading teams, resolving issues, and upholding high safety standards. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing. Valid MSHA Part 48 certifications (surface, metal, and non-metal) preferred but not required. Work Conditions 4 days on, 3 days off, working 12-hour shifts. Overtime rates apply after 40 hours per week, paid at time and a half. Living out allowance provided for qualifying individuals.
