We are hiring!! We are looking for experienced Residential Service Techs to join our team! We offer year round work, great pay and benefits and a sign on bonus of $2,500.00!! SUMMARY OF ROLE Howell's Heating & Air Residential Service Tech is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential settings. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while ensuring systems operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with local codes and manufacturer specifications. The technician must be skilled in troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC equipment, from traditional furnaces and air conditioners to modern energy-efficient systems. Strong communication, time management, and technical abilities are essential, as the technician represents the company in customers' homes and plays a key role in client satisfaction and retention. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES • Education sufficient to effectively and efficiently apply industry and company standards as it applies to the proper diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and/or installation of HVAC equipment • Knowledge and understanding of the appropriate use of technician tools • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics • Excellent customer service and communication skills • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and time management • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in varied weather conditions • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. • Capable of working at heights, on ladders, and in tight spaces MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or educational equivalent • Valid driver's license with clean driving record and reliable transportation • 2+ years experience in HVAC serving and maintenance • Must be EPA certified • Ability to successfully pass a background check and other pre-employment screening • CPR and first aid certified or agreeable to become certified PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly • Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl • Must be able to climb ladders and work from heights, including rooftops • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and confined spaces • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate tools and equipment safely
