Job Title: Assembler Location: Durham NC 27703 Duration: 12+ Months 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 2:30 PM Pay Rate is $18.20 an hourCandidate may be asked to work on weekends due to business needs. Candidates need to be flexible and open to work weekends or overtime if requested by their manager.Position Summary Performs a combination of tasks involved in the fabrication, manufacture, assembly, testing, and packaging of medical devices. Sets up, operates, performs maintenance on, and troubleshoots equipment. Works within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines. Key Responsibilities Perform fabrication, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and packaging of medical devices. Set up and operate equipment. Perform equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting. Conduct quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications. Follow clearly defined SOPs and scientific methods. Adhere to quality guidelines. Rotate into different tasks and responsibilities as needed. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Zero (0) to one (1) year of manufacturing assembly experience. Skills and Qualifications Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand. Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend specifications written in English. Ability to perform basic math calculations. Ability to use basic measurement tools such as microscopes. Good attention to detail. Ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours and report to work on a regular, punctual basis. Physical Demands Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. Occasionally required to lift or move at least 50 pounds.
