Please email your video to Applications without a video will not be considered.The Warehouse Clerk at The Delivery Source supports the warehouse operations in handling,organizing, inspecting and managing inventory in a warehouse that receives and deliversfurniture, fixtures, and home furnishings. This role includes receiving shipments, maintainingaccurate data entry records, and ensuring all furniture is received in good condition. TheWarehouse Clerk assists with quality control and inspection, warehouse organization, and othercustomer service and administrative tasks while adhering to safety and operational guidelines.This role must have a team player attitude with experience working in a fast-paced warehouseenvironment, that can multi-task while staying focused and productive; customer serviceoriented, fine attention to detail, as well as experience using spreadsheet or inventorymanagement software.Primary Responsibilities:These refer to the essential tasks and responsibilities that define a job role. These duties are thecore functions the employee is expected to perform regularly and are critical to the success ofthe position and overall business operations.• Follow safety guidelines for lifting, moving and handling items and packages• Maintain accurate inventory records by means of data entry and paperworkscanning in the inventory management system on a computer• Perform paper filing, copying, and scanning of POD/BOL paperwork• Assist to receive, unload, and label incoming shipments to ensure accuracy• Process and inspect incoming items for damages, defects, or missing parts• Process and inspect “write ups”, including investigation as necessary, to identifyitems that are received without paperwork via carriers such as FedEx, UPS, Amazon,USPS, DHL, RH, etc.• For damaged items, obtain appropriate photos necessary of the damage to assistclients in initiating the claims process, notifying clients in a timely manner via e-mailand phone• Communicate via email and/or phone with clients, freight/shipping companies, andvendors to report received items, updated warehouse locations, damaged items,missing items, order received statuses, and to address any inquiries• Assist with tracking received and outgoing shipments, update incoming/outgoinginventory, and ensure accurate and proper documentation• Assist with returns and damaged product processing, documenting defects orshipping issues• For damaged items, assist in obtaining appropriate photos necessary of the damageto assist clients in initiating the claims process, notifying clients in a timely mannervia e-mail and/or phone• Assist in making phone calls to retrieve more information from clients, freightcompanies, or vendors/manufacturers (i.e. to identify sender/designer, sidemark,item description, etc.)• In collaboration with the warehouse team, assist in addressing client customerservice-related concerns or complaints about warehouse operations throughproactive problem-solving. Escalate issues to the owners/operations managers onlywhen the matter remains unresolved after all standard troubleshooting steps havebeen exhausted• In collaboration with the warehouse team, assist in resolving inventory and receivingdiscrepancies by identifying solutions and coordinating with clients, freight/shippingcompanies, and/or vendors as necessary to ensure timely resolution• Assist in coordinating and scheduling warehouse pickup and delivery requests withdesigner/client and collaborate with appropriate warehouse team member to haveitems pulled and staged• Assist in handling new client inquiries• Job responsibilities may change periodically based on the needs of the businessSecondary Responsibilities:These are tasks and responsibilities that are not the primary focus of this role. These are to beperformed as needed to support business operations.• Actively participate in a collaborative team environment, or "all-hands" movingapproach, always willing to cross-train across departments• Ensure cleanliness and organization in the warehouse and grounds (keep work areasclean, organized, and aisles clear of debris; pick up trash on floors/aisles as youencounter it; sweeping; vacuuming; cleaning bathrooms and breakroom; pick uptrash in outdoor truck bay, parking lot and grounds as needed)• Assist in evaluating warehouse supply order needs in collaboration with WarehouseLogistics Coordinator (manager review/approval will be required beforeplacing/submitting an order)• Assist in stocking, pulling and/or staging outgoing delivery orders/pickups as neededwhile operating forklift/order pickers/powered industrial trucks (PIT) along withother Material Handling Equipment (MHE)• Assist in conducting periodic inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy• Assist with special projects as they arise• Job responsibilities may change periodically based on the needs of the businessSkill Requirements:• High attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory tracking, data entry, andquality control• 1+ years in a warehouse or logistics role• Experience with inventory spreadsheets such as Apple Numbers or Microsoft Excel;or other inventory management system• Understanding of proper lifting techniques and warehouse safety regulations• Excellent communication skills with ability to work well in a team-focusedworkplace• High School Diploma• Highly proficient in using technology/computers and with typing (experience withApple MAC-OS a plus)• Ability to work with limited supervision• Reliable with good work ethic• Excellent time management skills• Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task• Excellent customer service skills• Must be a U.S. Citizen• Must be able to speak English• Forklift Certification is a plus but not requiredMinimum Physical Requirements:• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time for the majority of workshift• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, pull or maneuver items weighing 100+ lbs, withor without Material Handling Equipment (MHE) or with utilization of team lift whenappropriate and deemed unsafe to perform solo• Frequent bending, squatting, stooping & kneeling required for receiving andidentifying pieces, handling inventory, scanning packages (when applicable), ororganizing stock• Frequent use of fingers, hands and arms for typing, writing, use of mouse, handlingpackages, scanning labels (when applicable), and using online inventorymanagement systems• Ability to tolerate warehouse environment without central AC/heat with exposure tovarying temperatures including extreme heat or cold, or very dry or humidconditions• Ability to tolerate warehouse environment with common hazards such as travel offorklift, order picker, or other Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and themovement of people and furniture items of all sizes on a frequent basis withmoderate to high noise levelsPay: $17-$19 per hour (depending on experience), paid weeklyJob Type: Full-time (30-40 hours per week)Schedule: Normal hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, off Saturdays and Sundays; we are closed on major holidays including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
