Topeka, KS (Headquarters) Dallas, TX (Satellite Office) Kansas City, KS (Satellite Office) Denver, CO (Satellite Office) Cost Estimation & Bid Preparation: Develop detailed cost estimates for CNC projects, accounting for materials, labor, machining time, tooling, and setups for milling, turning, and multi-tasking machines. Prepare competitive bids and proposals that align with project specifications and quality standards. Technical Analysis: Read and interpret technical drawings, including GD&T, and assess quality control requirements. Evaluate machining practices such as material removal rates, material types, tooling, and setups. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with production, engineering, quality, and procurement teams to optimize manufacturability, supplier sourcing, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Provide feedback to the quoting and process planning teams to improve efficiency and accuracy. Market & Cost Monitoring: Stay current on market trends, material costs, and evolving CNC machining technologies to ensure competitive estimates. Time Management & Organization: Manage multiple concurrent quote requests, ensuring timely delivery of accurate estimates. Maintain organized records of quotes, revisions, and supporting documentation for easy reference and audit readiness. Position Requirements Minimum 5 years experience in CNC machining estimation within a contract manufacturing environment. Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T specifications. Deep understanding of machining practices, including material removal rates, tooling, and setups for milling, turning, and multi-tasking CNC machines. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Excellent time management and organizational abilities to handle competing priorities and tight deadlines.
