Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with Swiss machines; however, experienced CNC lathe machinists eager to transition into Swiss machining are encouraged to apply. This role is critical to producing high-quality, tight-tolerance components while maintaining efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement on the shop floor. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Swiss-type CNC lathes Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions Perform tool offsets, wear adjustments, and minor program edits Monitor part quality using calipers, micrometers, and gauges Conduct first-article and in-process inspections Maintain machine cleanliness and follow 5S and safety standards Collaborate with engineering and programming teams to improve processes Document production and quality data as required Qualifications Required: 2+ years of CNC machining experience (lathe preferred) Ability to read and understand technical drawings and tolerances Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and materials Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment Preferred (Not Required): Direct experience with Swiss-turn CNC lathes Familiarity with bar feeders and live tooling Experience with tight-tolerance, precision parts Basic CNC programming or editing experience No Swiss experience?
