Join our team at SRM Concrete as an Industrial Maintenance Technician, where your skills in maintenance will directly contribute to our plant's success. We are looking for an experienced technician with a strong background in industrial maintenance, especially in electrical systems, plumbing, and welding. This role is essential for ensuring our plant operates smoothly by carrying out maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to equipment and facilities. Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular inspections on plant equipment and systems to spot wear and potential issues that may disrupt production. Perform preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled to minimize unexpected breakdowns and operational delays. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly to maintain production flow. Utilize welding skills for fabricating, repairing, and reinforcing plant structures and equipment when required. Coordinate with plant management to prioritize maintenance tasks based on urgency and operational impact. Maintain thorough records of maintenance performed, repairs, parts used, and time spent on each task, contributing to our comprehensive maintenance history. Stay informed on the latest maintenance techniques and safety protocols to ensure efficient and safe working practices. Collaborate with external contractors and specialists for complex repairs or installations requiring specific expertise. Assist the plant safety team by identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions to foster a safe working environment. Engage in training opportunities to enhance your skills in maintenance, safety, and plant operations. Qualifications: Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Experience in a concrete plant is a plus. Proficient in electrical systems, plumbing, and welding. Relevant certifications are preferred. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail, capable of managing complex repairs under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of working independently or as part of a team. Commitment to safety, with a solid understanding of occupational health and safety regulations applicable to plant environments. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or vocational degree in a related field preferred. A valid driver's license and ability to safely operate various types of plant machinery. Willingness to undergo pre-employment screenings including drug testing. Work Environment: Expect regular physical activity including lifting, bending, and long periods of standing. Work may involve exposure to noise, dust, and outdoor weather conditions. Availability for emergency repairs outside of regular hours is required, including nights and weekends as necessary.
