We're looking for individuals who take pride in making from-scratch recipes that delight the taste buds. Position Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Kitchen Manager. As a Culinary Associate, you will stay engaged and work collaboratively with your team. Your daily responsibilities will include: Greeting customers with a smile and providing exceptional service. Completing prep work as assigned and preparing menu items following our signature recipes. Adhering to approved cooking procedures and maintaining our high food quality standards. Practicing safe food handling and sanitation procedures. Cleaning and sanitizing your work area before, during, and after your shift. Following company uniform requirements, including wearing non-slip shoes and hair restraints. Ability to multitask, perform repeated bending and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Being mindful of hot grease, wet floors, and varying temperatures. At Cubby's, we value hard work and dedication. Safety and Sanitation Complete time/temperature logs to ensure proper food cooking and holding temperatures. Check and document temperatures for all refrigeration equipment daily. Maintain safe food handling procedures consistently. Wear non-slip shoes and ensure all staff follows this policy. Ensure uniforms are clean and that hair restraints are worn at all times. Maintain cleanliness standards, and oversee daily and weekly cleaning duties. Use lids and straws for beverages in food preparation areas to ensure safety. Keep aisles and walkways clear and in compliance with regulations. Customer Service Engage with customers and colleagues respectfully, fostering a friendly environment. Set an example by practicing hygiene, including frequent handwashing and wearing gloves when handling ready-to-eat foods. Ensure the availability and quality of prepared foods and hot bar items. Maintain company standards for food production, shelf life, and presentation. Communication Communicate honestly and act with integrity at all times. Effectively relay procedures, promotions, and new products to staff. Build trust through open communication and reliable follow-through. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS: Current SERV Safe certification is required. Must be 18 years or older to operate kitchen equipment. Ability to use knives, slicers, and other food prep tools. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Provide excellent service, perform basic calculations, read and write proficiently, and follow instructions. Detail-oriented and accurate. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Dependable and adaptable to change.
